A correlation exists between the FOMC meeting and minutes released dates and the S&P 500 stock market price change in direction. Often, these changes in direction are also associated with the 50 and 100 EMA lines. Every circle on the chart below indicates a FOMC meeting date or a FOMC meeting minutes released date. A change in direction following those dates is often seen in correlation with a bounce off the 50 and 100 EMA lines. The FOMC meeting dates and meeting minutes release dates are charted for 2019-2021.
