Jungle Water ColourAndy Hellaby is the bass player with the prog rock/acid folk band COMUS. The band broke up in the mid- seventies but reformed with five of the six original members in 2008, and performed songs from their first album, plus a few new pieces, across Europe and beyond. In the intervening years between the two incarnations of the band, Andy experimented extensively with analogue synthesisers, and was commissioned to compose pieces for film and theatre. Many of these commissions were as a result of this collection, which was composed and recorded from 1979 to 1981, and never released to the public. Andy has digitised these recordings from the one existing cassette copy which is the only usable copy of the original twin track tape, now no longer playable after 36 years! All the tracks were recorded using just one instrument, an ARP 2600 analogue synthesiser.
