Luv w/ U5. Something About UsOn his 5th release, recorded in quarantine, Art Imperial celebrates the highest ideals to struggle for as love conquers over loneliness, heartbreak, and fear. The lead track, 'Missin' takes a careless whisper riff and gives it a tough bassline backbone to describe a shadowy, downtown flaneur who pines for his missing lover. 'Your Eyes' is a smooth 80s style ballad that speaks of furtive glances and longing from afar. 'Breathless' channels R&B influences exposing secretive and lustful intimacies. 'Luv w U' sees house music tropes as a vessel to celebrate the triumph of overcoming one's self-imposed heartache. Ending the EP is an interpolation of Daft Punk's 'Something About Us', which encompasses, in one short verse, all that love can achieve.Special thanks to Margo Vlckova for her musical inspiration and support.
