Tangos De Kali“Despierta” is a compilation of songs Barrio Manouche has been working on since last year. The band has already released 3 singles, “ El Joven” in collaboration with Electric Squeezebox Orchestra’s horns, a revisited version of the 1950 Edith Piaf hit “La Foule”, featuring band violinist and singer Magali Sanscartier, and “La Leyenda Del Tiempo”, Nuevo Flamenco’s 1973 milestone.This new album is the result of great collaborations and countless concerts and rehearsals. We recorded, edited and mixed the entire body of work (between Dec 2018 and Aug 2019) at 25th Street Recording, in Oakland CA, with Gabriel Sheppard. “Despierta” is a continuation of our creative process and the result of our ongoing work and passion for music.
