It uses ANSI art to recreate the entire game and plogue chip sounds to create a low-fi NES authentic atmosphere. The songs follow the limitations of the 2A03 chip and also sound design choices of the original soundtrack by Hirokazu Tanaka (such as minimal vibrato, non-standard time signatures and swings, no DPCM, no arpeggios) and also has some nods to Super Metroid and Metroid Prime melodies.
