Songs feature dynamic tempo changes and sometimes jettison verse-chorus-verse structure completely.Their new EP, Surprise!, is set to be released in June 2018.Bike Crash’s members are scene-seasoned musicians in their own right: Meghan also played in Evil Sword, Perry in See-Through Girls and Candy in Mermaid Parade. Surprise! is a time capsule of modern Philadelphia. It reflects the Comcast skyscraper(s), the power lines & grocery stores and takes a scalpel to the infamous 2015 closing of the Edward Bok school & its mutation into a bar for the gentry. Surprise! takes on the protests surrounding the Hobby Lobby ruling and Summit of Mayors in 2013. Songs come dressed in surreal and sometimes absurdist wordplay - the fruits of an often communal songwriting process.
