The last 4 years were somehow dominated by bad luck, although I’m not trying to abdicate my self-responsibility. My life was always tending to be chaotic and I think that the constant noise in my head and heart kept me from noticing what was going on around me. Even though the fall and the subsequent impact were hard to take, they had a positive aspect as well… They provided room for self-reflection. I’ d dare to say “rebirth”. All the songs on “I woke up like this” are extremely personal, maybe a little too personal.
