These songs were recorded in sessions with Bud Ledbetter on guitar and vocals and Joe Ledbetter on Bass. I would then bring in Dale and Matt and record their magic. It's not the way most Bluegrass recordings are done, but it sounds pretty good to me. The resulting album, Bud Ledbetter and the Flatland Foreigners was not only a joy to help create with my family and new friends, but a good education in recording and producing music in a small project studio. I’m grateful and proud to have the opportunity to preserve our family’s musical heritage with these recordings.
