PROGRAMMING NOTES: Aaron Marshall, Bing Satellites, and Racebannon's tracks are all previously published, represented here under their original titles. The first 16 tracks of this digital album comprise a near-chronological assortment of highlights from the film. Racebannon's noise punk songs are then presented in the middle of the programming. Tracks 19-22 represent an assortment of fun source music from the movie, including the haunted train calliope music as well as diegetic music from Marty's favorite radio program and a few of the movies he watches. For completionists, tracks 23-32 represent the remainder of the film's non-diegetic score, again presented in chronological order. ABOUT THE FILM: "Found" is a multi-award winning independent horror film written by Todd Rigney and directed by Scott Schirmer. It centers around a fifth-grader named Marty who gets good grades, listens to his teachers, and doesn’t start trouble in class. But darkness begins to fall over Marty’s life. The kids at school won’t stop picking on him, his parents just don’t seem to understand him, and now Marty must grapple with a terrible secret that threatens to destroy life as he knows it – his big brother is a serial killer! Brotherly love is put to the ultimate test in this emotional coming-of-age story that descends into full-blown horror. A NOTE FROM THE DIRECTOR: The soundtrack to Found is the miraculous result of several gracious musicians, all of whom contributed to an aural tapestry that has far exceeded my wildest hopes and dreams. Many pieces were donated by ambient composers Aaron Marshall and Bing Satellites. Together, their work provides the film a compelling emotional core. You feel what Marty is feeling through their music - whether it’s the naive wonder in Bing’s opening piano track, 'Soothing Image #1', or the haunting isolation of Aaron’s finale piece, ‘Two’. For the on-screen visceral terror of our movie-within-the-movie, 'Headless', I turned to another composer for some original compositions. Magician Johnson pays homage to ‘80s slasher flicks with his rhythm and synth work - the perfect underscoring for the 'Headless' Killer’s brutal debauchery. The main theme from 'Headless' worked so well, it found its way onto the soundtrack three times, including the opening titles and the third act’s bloody climax. Filling in with a couple of uniquely challenging cues was Lito Velasco, who built a calliope to realize our Haunted Train sequence and also gave 'Deep Dwellers' its low-budget creature feature charm. The soundtrack also features a few original tracks from composerGreg Wright and a couple of songs from noise punk band Racebannon, the perfect embodiment of Steve’s anger and angst.I can’t thank these musicians enough. They give voice to the troubled Marty, enhance the horrors of Steve, and provide the heartbeat to a project that means the world to me. - Scott SchirmerLearn more about the musicians!Aaron Marshall at www.noct.us Bing Satellites at www.bingsatellites.comMagician Johnson at www.soundcloud.com/magician-johnson Lito Velasco at www.imdb.com/name/nm3187470/Racebannon at www.racebannon.netStellardrone at www.stellardrone.bandcamp.com/Learn more about "Found" at www.foundmovie.net and www.facebook.com/foundmovie.
