Darren Grigas is a British adventurer and endurance athlete who has completed many extreme challenges around the world. He has run some of the toughest foot races on the planet, including the notorious Marathon Des Sables covering 250km across the Sahara. He was the only second person ever to run the 100 miles across a giant frozen lake in Outer-Mongolia in temperatures as low as -50 degrees. Darren has achieved several world-firsts including crossing uncharted routes through the jungles of Panama, picking up unknown spider bites, suffering machete wounds and running to the end of his rations with no shortcut home. He traversed 200km of the Namib desert and back on UK shores with a select team, completed a 177-mile relay race carrying a 20kg pack for charity. Darren turns his hand to differing challenges and retrained his body and mind to take part in a four-stage series of challenges designed and run by Ex-SAS and Royal Marines. Of around 600 starters, only 3 completed the entire event, Darren was one of these three just missing out on winning the entire series. Darren says he isn’t physically the strongest or fastest guy on the ground, but believes that with the right mindset we are all capable of achieving extraordinary feats and he hopes to share this and inspire others to believe in themselves too.
