Winter ThemeDaysound: I have previously written and released songs that are sometimes dark, sometimes sombre, and (very) occasionally uplifting. With a deep love of Christmas I always wanted to tackle a seasonal song, which can be a tricky thing, especially in electronic form. From a poem I wrote in 2018 I adapted the words to fit a new piece of music and approached long time collaborator Neil Francis for vocal duties.The creative juices were flowing so another song quickly took shape and then another, more instrumental song followed with Neil on choir duties!Neil's vocals and harmonies really bring the songs to life, and he pushed his voice to the very top of his range. I think there are some of his HIGHEST EVER notes reached, particularly on "Rejoice Rejoice" on 'Winter Solstice'.Obviously there is a festive vibe but not overly Christmassy, instead focussing on the Winter Season with 'Winter Snow' and the 'Winter Solstice'. The more instrumental 'Winter Theme' features Neil Francis as choir, with international (Winternational!) languages speaking of Winter Snow throughout!
