Their debut album, ‘Inside Outside’ (Rising Records/PHD/Audioglobe), was produced by Sylvia Massy (Tool, SOAD) in California and received amazing feedback that attest to the band an “excellent debut” (Sonic Abuse, UK) and a “great future” (Rocktimes, D). After many gigs and tours all around Europe, the Deep Black Sees are back to their motherland, and work with Fabio Rizzo from Italian indie label 800A Records for the recording of this brand new EP. It will be released on the 1st of December 2014. As the EP’s title suggests, ‘Listen = Silent’ is the anagram of itself and it is part of the band attempt to cut their sound down to the bone and then recomposing it in order to give it back in a homogeneous way. ‘Listen = Silent’ flows through its 4 tracks under the vision of delays and arpeggiators. It is a palindrome sequence of impressions, reading it backward, keep identical meaning (take a look to the songs’ names). It is a flashback witch reaches its own climax only at the end.* * ** *** ***** ********“Listen=Silent” è l’ultima fatica dei Deep Black Sees, band siciliana che si cimenta in una modernizzazione del progressive rock e della sperimentazione sonora. Prodotto da Fabio Rizzo della siciliana 800A Records (Pan Del Diavolo, Waines, Fabrizio Cammarata) insieme con i DBS, e masterizzato in Austria da Hannes Jaeckl, l’EP in uscita il 1° Dicembre 2014. Come suggerisce il titolo del lavoro, “Listen=Silent” è l’anagramma di se stesso, e rientra nel tentativo della band di frammentare il proprio sound all’osso, per poi ricomporlo e renderlo omogeneo, riconoscibile. Sotto il pretesto di una visione dettata dal ritmo dei delay e degli arpeggiatori, “Listen=Silent” scorre attraverso le sue 4 tracce in un sequenza palindroma di impressioni che, lette al contrario, rimangono identiche così come I titoli dei brani. E' un flashback, e raggiunge la sua climax solo alla fine.
