It's A Dreamthis season is always a bit of a bummer for me and neil young's prairie wind had me weeping last week. it's been a tough year and neil singing "it's a dream, it's only a dream, and it's fading now" really hit me. i decided to track a few of my favourite newer neil songs this week. i wanted to say thanks to everyone that spent time with the record i released in june. i also wanted a distraction from this weird time of year. but mostly, i wanted to send this out to my family who i'm not seeing this xmas. the last time we were all together was over a year ago in november 2019. we drank nice wine for my brother's birthday and played some songs. i remember my brother requesting razor love and i didn't know it at the time. anyways, this is for them. these are loose, slinky takes on these jams.i've made the EP free but i am going to match any donations, up to $500, to my local food bank until the end of the year.happy holidays. be safe everyone. take care. here's to a hopeful 2021. xo jb
