Forward ShapesProgressive Rock group fusing Journey inspired melodies, Evanescence and Nightwish female vocals, and atmospheric Pink Floyd instrumental passages. Keyboardist Brian Andrews and guitarist Andrei Kryssov started the band in 2005 during their 1st year in college. They met in 2005 at Chapman University in Orange County, California. They were both Freshman at the time, with Brian studying Film & Music and Andrei studying Business. In between full course loads and University life, the duo composed the material that would eventually end up as their debut album "Legacy". Song writing was completed in 2007. Piano recordings were completed in 2008, followed by Guitar recordings which were completed in 2009.To complete the recordings they opted to use project musicians from various parts of the US, including legendary drummer Marco Minnemann. Each musician recorded their individual parts in their home studios, which later were assembled by Andrei Kryssov, and mixed by Ryan Hunter. At the end of 2011 a full albums worth of material was ready for mastering, and in 2012, after almost 7 full years of development, Forward Shapes released their debut and only album "Legacy".
