Grandpa, the founder of Grandpa’s Records & More purchased his first LP record and record player in 1956 while stationed at Kirkland Air Force Base in Albuquerque New Mexico. Music was his PASSION at an early age. All though his 21 year career in the Air Force and after her retired he purchased LP’s and 45’s and even made the transition into CD’s. Over time his collection grew and grew and finally around 2010 the collection grew to about 40 thousand units of music. As it grew he decided that he needed his own music room to house the collection and it gave him a place to go to listen and practice his guitar without the use of any headphones. One of his dreams was to own a record store so he could share his love for the music. But, that dream was not in the cards for him.I believe it is safe to say he passed his love of music down to his daughter and granddaughter. Since his passing, we have picked up were he left off in adding to his collection. We are happy to take his dream and make it our dream and share our store with you. We hope you enjoy seeing some vintage vinyl 45’s, CD’s and it brings back wonderful memories like it does for us. Stay tuned we are adding hundreds of titles each week.
