Alle 11 MinutenH is particle physics for the Chill-Out-Room. Genre: Nature&Technology. Musical summer lightning!Linernotes: HA weather station produces music: all antennas extended, barometers and thermometers on bearing. A mobile made of sound pipes tingles a modal hard-bop pattern in the wind tunnel, in dialogue with a roaring screech of owls and rhythmically pounding hailstones ... What kind of threatening backdrop is this? Something is wrong here. Nature is in trouble, or are the measuring instruments going crazy? In any case, that's not the kind of screech of an owl we know. The owl is evil, it is hungry! Mountain air does help. So does the high-altitude sun. Or ... a bit of vitaminology.Of course everything is completely different. The supposed weather station is the Echokammer, a studio biotope operated by Albert Pöschl in Munich Giesing. Leo Hopfinger alias LeRoy and Tom Simonetti alias mycrotom went there to work on new tracks for their indie disco wild style duo Rhytm Police ... and one of those lucky accidents happened, which scientists always rave about when they encounter a previously unknown substance. Just as Pöschl's namesake Albert Hofmann opened the gates of perception in a self- experiment, the three laboratory assistants Hopfinger/Pöschl/Simonetti came across the element "H" to see it roll out of the Rhytm Police in the splitting process of an isolated condensation - hadn't there always been an "H" missing over the ten-year existence of the band name? Well then, H is there, and with the old name, the disco party is gone:H is particle physics for the Chill-Out-Room. Genre: Nature&Technology. Musical summer lightning! The individual pieces consist of several levels, which make multi-layered listening possible. There is the analog (drums: Simonetti / bass: Hopfinger / analog dub channels: Pöschl), which connects with the synthetic (various keyboards and samples). At the interface between the analog and the synthetic there are feverish field recordings lurking. This is how we think we hear co-existing parallel societies united in one piece. An effect that was favoured by the principle of a circulating production: After the analog base tracks had been laid together, they were passed around, the sound material was enriched and cut anew with each round, until the individual session tracks were polished out of the existing tracks. In terms of content, this album really is: Ethnology Begins at Home (“Heimat”, that dreaded German word). But H do not leave the concept of Heimat to the collective that goes on in blunt isolation and elevates the traditional narrow-mindedness int the status of high-brow culture. H do not go down this wooden path.International civil engineering is the slogan instead. Leo Hopfinger's German-language lyrics drive ex negativo, open up from the reversal. “Spiel mir das Lied vom Sonnenschein. Das kann nicht so kompliziert sein – Sonne rein ... Ohne dich säh's hier ziemlich dunkel aus." Stephan Remmler with Trio had such a casual humor in a comparable laconic mumbo-jumbo. German without pathos, but it works.H exhales tension and relaxation. That's the magic of H. You might only find this mixture on some great records from the Kraut-era, Harmonia and Cluster records, and H could be wonderful next to a record like e.g. Rastakraut Pasta by Moebius & Plank, but also the LeRoy albums Skläsh and Bambadea (both on Schamoni Musik), This Is The Place by Das Hobos (another highly acclaimed alias of the duo Hopfinger and Simonetti) and the one or other Echokammer production, like Entrance To The Exit by Blacken The Black.Again and again the birds chirp, the echo echoes from the mountain, the sun becomes the home, the home for the whole world. An arabesque autotune singing sounds "Am Zug", a completely cosmic music is played here. So again, ex negativo, to spell it out for you: Home is not the soil, home is the sun! Because: Without it it would look dark here! And if the air at the "Alpensee" is okay, then it also means that down in the plain something is not okay at all. H is also that: The revenge for the cruel term "Heimatsound". Thank you!Of course you can also start with the last piece: "Hi! Oh, hello. Wie geht’s? I Love You!” In the end, I am sure: You will understand this music perfectly without accessories. Have fun with it!Yours Pico Be
