Hiroko Hirose. I graduated from Bunka Fashion College and Kyoto University of the Arts in textile dyeing. I received a certification for kimono dressing. I worked for several cosmetic and pharmaceutical companies in Tokyo as an in-house packaging designer and director. I launched my natural dyed products brand in 2010 and started selling internationally. From 2012 I started selling domestically at department stores in Tokyo. I joined a design project on JETRO which supported Laotian handicrafts in 2013-14. Since then I started to research and collect textiles from all over the world. I left my job and joined my husband’s work which involved on travelling abroad from 2019. When I am in Japan concentrate on my own textile work. For 1/3 of a year I travel abroad and learn the destination countries ethnographies and textiles. I am an art lover visiting galleries and museums at least twice a week.
