Gonna Lay Down My Old GuitarAlthough these are the first Homegrown String Band “studio” recordings since 2007, we’re subtitling this CD “Field Recordings Vol. 2” because, in the spirit of Ralph Peer and Alan Lomax we brought the “studio” to the music. These live unedited stereo recordings were made with Audacity open source software, a Macbook, and two Audio Technica 4033 microphones, set up in an xy pattern in our living room. The end result is a reasonable facsimile of one our live performances or a live radio show; minus the chatter : ) We hope you enjoy the show, warts and all.
