The Immediate SectAfter leaving Swindon Mod band Roundabout, their song writer Rob Dady founded The Immediate Sect to embrace a more semi-acoustic based musical overview. More Ronnie Lane than The Small Faces, with Rob now moving from bass to lead vocals, guitar, & piano, the band released two well received albums with a lovely, whimsical feel. For your delight! a promotional EP, released 10 December 20201. a most unlucky man2. norman normal3. tales of this and that.....4. ain't that nice!!Original recorded in 2006, this EP is available once again here on 208 Records. This archive release features the Kink-esque jauntiness of Swindon based beatniks The Immediate Sect. Featuring the songs of ex-Roundabout bassist Rob Dady, who had switched to guitar, & bassist Pat Loose, with Steve Carvey on drums, the band released two albums in 2007 & 2008 & plated many gigs around the Thames Valley. Rob & Pat went on to form The Sitting Tenants; a quirky curios hybrid of Garage Rock, Vaudeville & Prog-Folk which still release music to this day.
