The iconic brick wall was born when Budd Friedman opened The Improvisation back in 1963 in New York City and is now a staple in the comedy scene. He then expanded to Hollywood in 1975 and the comedy series “An Evening at the Improv” begin. The show was America’s long-running comedy series hosting the brightest and funniest comics and entertainers. Over the last six decades, The Improv has grown from that single New York spot to a legendary entertainment brand with dozens of venues across the country and a name synonymous with standup comedy excellence.
