It is a piece beginning with the Swedish percussion pioneer Tina Quartey improvising in water; What's Beneath the Surface? "Water Is Instinct" is starting with running water sounds from a tap in a kitchen, then David Carlsson' smooth and jazzy bass draws the musical lines, and Felicia Konrad adds with poetic vocals and lyrics, and Mats Persson fills in with exquisite electronic sounds and discrete sound design. In Invocation, Tina Quartey experiments with a gong in water and plays with the resonance in a suggestive meditative way. The last piece Water Dialogue is 5 dialogues and an Epilogue, lyrics and vocals by Felicia Konrad and with glimmering electronica and sound design Mats Persson. The whole Water Dialouges piece is created in a very direct way and is full of improvisation.
