Sleeping Together (Cover)Memory of Changes, my second LP, was finished at the end of 2019, but for various reasons, including unforgiving hard drives and perhaps also taking advantage of their planned obsolescence, they stopped working. Three in total. On the third try, the Memory of Changes got stuck in one of those hard drives. That was a big headache. Although I was never able to recover the recording sessions, by chance I was able to find a folder in which I had exported it in high quality: WAV.  But finally I made friends with the idea that, however it was and how it is, the album was finished and almost autonomously, ready to go.
The songs talk about how I experience human relations and the relationship with places. Also, and inadvertently, they somehow helped me to get to know what I think about those things and about myself, when “I don't think”. And I say not to think because, I rarely sit down to record or make a song with a conscious intention. It all starts with one note, then two, and then a melody. The lyrics generally come to carry the melody on and not the other way around. I believe that music can be a space for meditation, play and reflection at the same time.
Those songs are recorded in many mornings and with much happiness. Because even though not all the songs are happy, and although some come from sadder or darker states, at that moment, that process of looking for them gives me a lot of peace of mind.
It is called Memory of Changes because it seeks to be a memory of how I lived and changed in the first years of returning to Argentina.
I hope you like it, and that you can enjoy the songs; more than anything where I think they let themselves be heard the most; in its details. I hope it reflects all the love I put in them and that love reaches you. 🎵
