It's a psychedelic joyride through the duo's blurred memories of Hong Kong, laced with sugary surrealism, synthetic spice and everything deranged.Both veterans of Hong Kong’s rave scene, Synthetic is a descent into the blurred memories of the +852, with a compass of electro and gutter rap sounds as their guide.This project is intended to fill the gap in what Kelvin T & Takeem believe the local music scene lacks. The city’s nightlife scene has taken a hit in the past decade, with stratospheric property rents and licensing issues caused by the ever tightening geopolitical pressures on Hong Kong combining to force the closure of a venue close to Kelvin T & Takeem’s heart - XXX. A grassroots venue with the vibe of a communal house party, it opened up Hong Kong’s nightlife scene globally, where the pair fondly recall seeing artists from all over the world. Synthetic carries on the flame of experimentation and collaboration embodied in XXX, with the duo hoping the project will do just that - reclaiming and opening up their hometown’s underground music scene to infinite possibilities. 屌你老味柒羊係咁用呢個hiphop嘅名義溝女囉屌
