After whispering a waiata (song) and karakia (prayer) for the coming year to Tangaroa - the god of the ocean - a formidable black seal appears and stands in the crashing waves before her leaving her awestruck. The animated story is paired with with modulating synths and pulsing bass lines, helping to convey the excitement of the encounter with the seal, and ultimately Tangaroa.
