2020 was a long year. Full of challenges, the world turned upside down. Uncertainty surrounded our lives. It was hard to make plans and we had no clue how long we would still be waiting.At the same time, we had enough time to reflect on ourselves, rethink our goals, and focus on what’s really important. It brought us closer to those we love. We learned to appreciate small moments and to be thankful for the simple fact of being alive. We adapted to an extremely unusual situation. It sure made us stronger than ever.However, I am glad 2021 is already here! It will take us a while to get over 2020, but at least I feel ready for this next chapter. New Year, new plans…A few things have changed since last year and, before anything, I just wanted to update all of you. Unfortunately, my internship at the hospital was suspended due to COVID-19. Later, I got a job as an Assistant manager at a local gas station. I also started a position as a Teaching Assistant at my previous university (Nova Southeastern University). As the year came to an end, I had to leave both of my jobs due to Visa restrictions.What’s new? Well, I had just started a Master of Science in Information Systems! The program began in January and I am excited to be back at school. As this new year unfolds, I’m ready to achieve new goals… And, of course, one of my goals is to dedicate more time to my website.By the way, I finally visited Tennessee last year and I also went back to Georgia. I am preparing two posts about these trips and planning new adventures for this year.So stay tuned for the next posts!2021 IS OUR YEAR! Let’s make the best out of it.
