But, Larry Flynt took “life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness” at face value. He campaigned to ratify the Equal Rights Amendment in all 50 states. He still does. Mr. Flynt wanted to dismantle an outdated system in favor of government by constitution, not tradition. He still does. His primary did not garner enough delegates some 35 years ago. But his message still rings true. And to be fair: the campaign merchandise was really fun. Now it’s back. Wear it, pin it, stick it, and cover your nose and mouth in public areas.
