AUTHOR SUBMISSIONS - Since March 2020 there has been a large volume of requests from authors for The Book Shop to stock their books and as we have very limited shelf space unfortunately we cannot stock them all.If you would like us to consider your work, please email us to arrange an appointment/suitable time for you to come in. You will be asked to leave us a copy with a contact sheet that details the terms for purchase and SOR. We must ask that you do not drop off copies to the shop, even as a gift. Books left without following our procedure will be sent for recycling. Unfortunately not all books are suitable for our little independent book shop. More helpful advice about getting your book stocked can be found on The Booksellers Association website under ‘Industry Info‘. (click) or ask for our Author information leaflet in-storeBookshop.org - You can order books via our online shop (powered by uk.bookshop.org ) but this is for home delivery only. Yes... he was the gentleman that opened Miles Book Shop in Gosport High Street , later known as The Gosport Book Shop...Ours was the first shop he opened, followed by a second in Stubbington, before opening the Gosport one. With our deeds for the building we also have his remortgage documents to purchase both Stubbingotn and Gosport. We are the last of his shops and we need your support.
