Holi NightAn awaited return to India during Holi times happens to get unexpectedly prolonged due to the current pandemic. Armed with a recorder, a darbuka and a passport from one of the first critically hit countries, I enjoyed documenting all the sounds of places I could, with all the limitations included, involving forced quarantines and ever changing lockdowns.I never thought a simple holiday could become such a deep and long journey.The situation allowed me to record sometimes from closed walls only, but also to exploit the unique opportunity to be in touch with a culture that has always fully fascinated me, from culinary arts to mystic and linguistic knowledge, passing through science and naturally music. I got to be guest and play with some amazing people out there.Please lose yourself while listening to this life pieces as you would be among your hostel's top floor window, walking through narrow streets and ghats, or inside a temple that seems to host a concert but it is finally empty, with only an automated machine or an app playing on phone.Like for the most beautiful landscapes, where you cannot avoid capturing power lines even if you try, here we don't miss dogs, honks and motorbikes as part of the usual urban soundscape.I wish this could be a document of a small slice of modern India I luckily was part of for a while, being very thankful to everyone involved in the trip,especially:Kabir Baba and family, Pushkar, Niloy, Varghese, Tebaar Community, Ruchi, Ravi, Abhijit, Biswadeep, Rishi, Hanuman.You can donate some bucks if you wish, I got severely damaged economically, but not as I would be being jobless in a western country during all these months.धन्यवाद
