LOONERLOONER is an LA based Steady Rock Alternative duo. Their sound is a mash-up of rock, new wave pop, electronica and world beats, distinguishable by haunting vocals and locomotive beats.Year Of The Ox (EP), released 06 February 20151. Stride2. Both Zoë and I were born in an Ox year and since then, each one that rolls around has always been a year of life changing forward movement. This last one brought to us our first child and with her came new ideas, a different sense of purpose, responsibility and, loads and loads of beautiful melodies that just landed on our laps; each melody, neatly packaged in a specific musical style. We honored their uniqueness and set forth recording. Along the way, many friends who also happened to be great musicians and songwriters collaborated and contributed to the making of each song. All of us watched in awe as time passed and Zoë's belly grew whilst she sang these songs.Unable to control ourselves, hastily we released each song, the moment they were finished. Different cover art for each, some had videos some didn't. But we were just so excited, each song was different in every way from the last. The only commonality among them was that we had created them and Zoë was singing.Time has passed, our family has grown and with our son's arrival returned those same senses as before and as you might have guessed; another lap full of music.As Bob Marley once sang, "In this great future, you can't forget your past."And so with that reminder, we are honoring these songs by presenting them to you, together as the "Year of the Ox" EP.
