My name is Brandie Medlock, owner and creator of Lotus Blossom Crafts & Embroidery. Thank you for joining me on this epic journey of redefining what embroidery is. I started the business in September 2020, in the middle of the pandemic. I was a frontline worker when the pandemic started and had to quit my job because my teenager is immunocompromised and disabled. The thread of covid to them was far to great to risk it. As the pandemic dragged on and the end everyone was hoping for didn’t come, I decided it was time to dive in head first doing what I love and starting my own business. I have always been fascinated with embroidery machines and what they are capable of doing. I took my stimulus money, invested in our future and bought my first machine. There was no looking back from there. The embroidery machine allows me to bring my art to life not just as images embroidered on t-shirts and hats, though those are cool too, but as 3D sculptures!
