Explicit ContentMad Essence is true to the formula: new album = new sound + new concept. The fifth full-length album is somewhat like Christian Nu Metalcore influenced by IDM and Bass Music, with the potential to interest people ranging from the old-school alternative metal fans and bassheads to the fans of more experimental stuff. The LP this time is based on Christian mythology and the simulation hypothesis, which gained popularity in the 2010s.'Cyberpunk' has become Nowpunk (emphasizing the NOW factor), the album 'Connections' is our life story, artistic comprehension of cyberroutine. Creating the futuristic sound (according to the standards of modern music industry) we meticulously kept the vibe of the shabby uptown basement, flooded with RGB light from Aliexpress and hung with unravelable bunches of wires. Churches are converted into data centers, food has the prefix 'organic', AI replaces MSN editors, and people don't remember what their friends look like without Instagram filters. In such a world an attempt to talk about God, faith and spirituality seems to be the highest form of protest.Omitting the prefix 'cyber', only 'punk' remains. 'Connections' is 120% punk and that's why the bigger portion of the album is dedicated to religion.Scientism and atheism are the flesh and blood of a supranational totalitarianism straightening its shoulders, with lockdowns, mass surveillance, blatant censorship, cancel culture, redistribution of wealth in favor of the super-rich, rewriting of history, corrupt media, fact-checkers aka thought police of Oceania, street saboteurs, etc. The effective counter-ideology should be based precisely on faith, art, and morality. As it is said in Exploit by Fatum Black: 'We are in such deep shit that even Kanye believes in God now.' Kanye definitely knows something we don't. To move forward, to defeat Evil, the free people need faith. We have enough of it to share with everyone.Manifesto: http://madessence.com/connections-manifesto
