ColorblindAward-winning charismatic vocalist, saxophonist and songwriter, Mads Mathias grew up in Tanzania and Denmark, in a home with 34 instruments, which he explored from infancy.In recent years, Mads Mathias has worked on his first solo album "Free Falling" - a vocal album, where the aim was to uncompromisingly create the dream record. The material is written by Mads Mathias himself and besides that he sings plays saxophone, piano and trumpet, over 25 musicians contribute to this record. A record that manages to convey atmosphere, love of music and lots of humor, while the vocals sneak in on the listener and serves up personality and originality, but with deep respect for the immortal crooner tradition. The charismatic and uncompromising singer recently won the award for 'Best New Act' at the Danish Music Awards Jazz 2012, and the prestigious 'Honourable Mention Award' in one of the world biggest songwriter contest 'International Songwriter Contest'.
