Como Un MilagroSunday Bolero is pianist and producer Tyler Greenfield's debut album.Following a love for Latin music, Greenfield connected with an array of Cuban musicians in NY, including the acclaimed Cuban singer Xiomara Laugart. Xiomara was a vocalist in the Grammy®-nominated group Yerba Buena. The album features her on classic boleros including "Nosotros" and "Sabor a Mí." Aside from Laugart's presence, Sunday Bolero provides the masterful rhythms of percussionist Gabriel "Chinchilita" Machado and bassist Jorge Bringas. The talented Cuban trumpeter Kalí Rodríguez-Peña is a welcomed guest and brings a distinctly Cuban feel to tracks such as "Siboney." In fact, Greenfield is the only non-Cuban, but his thoughtful touch on the piano brings everything together with the panache of a native who has been doing this for years.Sunday Bolero can be enjoyed by jazz lovers looking to acquiaint, or reacquiaint themselves with classic Cuban treasures, songs written by some of the country's most famous composers: Ernesto Lecuona, René Touzet, Pedro Junco – as well as more recent numbers from Paquito D'Rivera .
