It was hard for the whole World but I had many personal reasons as well. I felt fear, anxiety and depression. I was humiliated and insulted. As early as in January I considered not continuing with Possible Space. But soon I felt that making music was the best way to deal with these difficult things. Then I heard a song about the "wrong kind of music". Or so I though. I found out that the title of the song was Make Your Own Kind of Music. It was written by Cynthia Weil and Barry Mann – the authors of some of the greatest songs in the history of popular music. The singer was Cass Elliot of The Mamas and the Papas. The song didn’t make the rest of 2020 easier. But it was the thing that inspired me to start making the album Wrong Kind of Music.In Possible Space I’ve mostly done whatever I want to do. This time listening to other people’s opinions felt even more pointless. I want people to listen to my music but especially this time I made it mostly for myself. Some of the songs on the album are not far from the style of earlier music by Possible Space while a few of them may be a bit different. Everything is inspired by the things I did, felt and pondered in 2020 and early 2021. I can’t really say if anybody else can see Wrong Kind of Music as a concept album about the year 2020. Maybe not unless their life is exactly the same as mine. In fact, the album is not exclusively about 2020 but about a period of 130 years, reflecting my nostalgic thoughts during these difficult times. The most important time period may be the years after the end of World War I. Even thought the beginning has been troublesome, I hope the new "Goldene Zwanziger" are about to begin. And I hope the 30s and the 40s will not be what they were in the 20th century.Robert Storm
