Space Cats Invade The EarthIn 2018, Toronto group PROCESSOR were commissioned to create an immersive environment based on the comic strip Space Cats Invade The Earth by band member Lorenz. This was a part of the all-night festival Nuit Blanche North in 2018. PROCESSOR's showcase took place alongside bellowing local disc-jockeys, drum circles, ice cream eaters and clowns of all sorts.For the event PROCESSOR songs were re-imagined entirely on synthesizers and recorded for this album. M Joakim created massive video projections, wrapping the entire town hall for the puny Earthlings of Huntsville. Projected were the animated cartoon Space Cats leaving their home planet in search of a new place to bat balls of yarn, destroy humanity, eat flying sushi and sit on warm television sets.During the invasion PROCESSOR played their two-hour set. The townspeople took to the streets: terrified of their new alien overlords, their ice cream cones melting in the laser blasts, and finally accepting the total Space Cat invasion of planet Earth.This album is much different than PROCESSOR's usual output, it tends to be nicer.Paper+Sound is pleased to present this new collection recordings by Toronto's PROCESSOR, their 6th full length album. Available digitally, with a super limited edition, stereo lathe-cut vinyl edition, with full colour printed card cover.
