Volume 11 features music from: Chromosphere, Heiki, Dirty Inputs, De Haga, Ragunath Khe, LP Lorenz, Cinemascope and Jacob Whibley.“Killer Sky” opens the Quiet Drones 11 album, with a collaboration between Kris Helström and Heiki Sillaste. Recorded isolated in the great outdoors at midnight, under a vast starry night. Vancouver, BC based musician Raghunath Khe has his debut for the paper+sound label with "Benevolence Surrounds", a minimalist whisper of sound. The piece will also feature on Raghunath Khe’s "Benevolent Static" full-length album debut for this label, out this fall.Brooklyn based De Haga, contributes "Furious Four", a page from an introspective electronic diary. Deep rhythmic pulses float into washes of synth pads."Stereo Cliffs" is another monster epic by Toronto’s Dirty Inputs. The new album “The Prism” is out imminently on paper+sound. Huge!LP Lorenz goes for a quiet, lackadaisical stroll through "Hipparc". The highly prolific Cinemascope, contribute a dramatic low drone with their "Magic Set".Jacob Whibley is a Toronto based visual artist who also flirts with the world of modular synthesizers. “Socket Ghosts” is one of his earlier attempts at generative sound composition.Heiki’s piece “Lazy” is just that - a very hazy, tranquil, pastoral drone that occasionally might reveal a new layer or ten. All of the tracks on Quiet Drones 11 have also been blended and stretched into one long continuous ambient mega mix, by paper+sound label boss Heiki Sillaste.Toronto’s paper+sound label has been operating since 2009, releasing a wide range of electronic-based music in it’s ten year existence. This is the 76th release for the label. Continuously putting out music on cassette, vinyl albums, vinyl 7″, compact discs and digital only downloads.
