Roughage is his long lived experimental ambient noise collage project. YEN FOR NOISE is the first Roughage CD. YEN FOR NOISE was recorded in Japan in 1991 and 1992. During his stay there, Zev managed to become pals with a number of Japanese musicians. YEN FOR NOISE features appearances by K.K NULL(Zeni Geva), MASONNA, SOLMANIA, MERZBOW, two-thirds of OMOIDE HATOBA, MAYUKO HINO (C.C.C.C), SHOEHEI IWASKI (Monde Bruits), AKIFUMI NAKAJIMA (Aube), YAMAMOTO (Boredoms) and a host of less famous ones.
