From its inception as a five-piece art punk outfit to his rebirth as a bedroom producer, he has spent the last decade bouncing between New York City and Los Angeles finding his unique voice. The new EP, Hopes Like Throats, deals with the realization and frustration of being caught in cycles of hope and disappointment. It marks the first attempt at a unified theory of his disparate influences - from the alternative rock and hip hop of his skate rat youth to post-punk, new wave, jazz, ambient music and film scores.
