Stagecoach13. schalapen14. the orange chairThe self titled, Sir Jhon, album was recorded with musician/producer/friend, Jason Rufuss Sewell (one-eyed doll). It was a lot of fun to create, as we let our inner children out to romp around. The banjo and/or acoustic guitar creates the foundation for each song. From there the production varies drastically. Some tracks call on fuzzed out synthesizers and saxophones while others use a violin or mandolin to complete the mood of the tune. Lyrics are sometimes quirky and humorous, sometimes insightful or thought provoking. The clarinet, drum set, tongue drum, djembe, cabasa, snake charmer flute, saxophone, synthesizers, electric guitar, flute, violin, mandolin, bass, upright bass, as well as additional vocalists all make appearances on different tracks, creating different feels, yet the album congeals into a unified piece of art.
