Prepare for mental contortion as manic mechanical noises are interwoven with impeccably tight drums and technically advanced basslines.The onslaught begins with catalyst, a bouncy and twisted mesh of sounds that inspires recklessness. Grizzle then surges forward with more dark and heavy flavours, bringing a neuro hop vibe whilst not quite conforming to the boundaries of any single genre. Next up is penumbra, a brain-melting number, bringing in the track with a smooth and clever build up that makes the drop an unexpected roar, jazzy flavours contrasting with growling bass synthesis. Finally, Reez tops the release off with is smooth chords and manic progressions, with bangingly perfect drums carrying it through to completion. Overall this first EP of this fresh talent consistently brings the juice from start to finish. The quality of this release makes it feel not so much like a debut but more the beginning of an era.
