This version was mixed to and mastered in 16-bit/44.1kHz with 'industry standard' post-mastering brickwall 'loudination'. The audible differences from the audiophile version are that this standard version sounds more 'loud' and 'polished', HOWEVER it is less dynamic and more compressed-sounding, has less digital headroom, as well as a less open and detailed BUT more heavy and in-your-face sound, and a hard 22kHz frequency limit (CD, FLAC) on the high-frequency content (16kHz for lossy versions: MP3, etc). If you are a fan of loudness and brutality instead of nuance, natural sound and clarity, then this is the option for you. However, if you prefer less 'slam'/volume and more detail/clarity... please purchase the audiophile version instead. (NOTE: physical CD not available for audiophile version since CD-format does not support 24-bit/96kHz rates.) Solamors arose from a set of concepts: to blend technicality with listenability, to balance intricacy with simplicity, to produce an ebb and flow between darkness and light, brutality and gentleness... and to draw in the listener with familiarity before continually challenging their musical sensibilities to take them on a sonic journey that keeps them engaged while pushing their experience to the extremes and transcending genre boundaries. Solamors' debut release, entitled "Depravity's Demise", typifies this approach by engaging and manipulating lyrical and musical dichotomy to produce an experience that tells a story while remaining amorphous. It embraces conceptual and musical symbolism that juxtaposes concepts of dualism with singularity, inevitability with choice and the symbolic with the literal to encourage personalized interpretation and produce a result that is simultaneously expository and equivocal in form and content.
