Through its lens of Suburban Magical Realism the listener is granted everything from vague, archaic literary references, to explicit screams in the name of hope. It uses specific characters to tell a universal story, and does it all with dynamic songwriting that builds on the basis of indie and emo with healthy heaps of math and prog. From the pop-heavy jams to the angular and furious rages, the album is as much a personal journey as it is a communal experience.
