Our hand handmade engine plate was engineered for the LIVE Watersports L2 and L4 boards. Our micro skiff expert, Matt, designed our plate to work perfectly with the catamaran hull of the boards. Our charter captain, Fred, tested it to it's limits. We found that most users were just finding a way to put an engine on a transom plate. This works, but causes the boards to run similar to pontoon boats. Our transom was designed to avoid cavitation issue, run skinny and give you stern lift. The performance is unlike anything you've ever seen on a LIVE board. Add our cavitation plate to virtually eliminate air cavitation and give you more stability. We matched the creativity of our engineering with the quality of our materials. A ton of thought went into the materials of our engine mount. We've learned over the years that weight matters! Having a plate, Micro Pole, engine and you on the back of a LIVE Board creates challenges. Weight distribution becomes important. This is why we made our plate out of strongest and lightest materials possible. We use Coosa Bluewater board and fiberglass. These materials are used by some of the highest quality boat builders on the market! Our mount is all one piece and comes in under 10 pounds!
