“Some journeys take us far from home. Some adventures lead us to our destiny.” C.S Lewis The word ‘journey’ has always been one of my favourites. I think it’s because it evokes a sense of anticipation, adventure, and hope – everything that stirs the soul of the traveller in me. Journeys tend to open the door into the unknown… It tends to lead to discovery – both of self and of the path ahead. On all counts, a journey makes you grow… When I began my journey into the very Heart of God, it was unlike any other experience. True, it made me grow and discover myself more, and yes, it led me into the unknown – but only for a little while. I soon discovered that God WANTS to be discovered! So the deeper I ventured, the more I became acquainted with His nature. Soon, it transformed into a knowing…an intimacy. Ultimately, it became an adventure that led me to my destiny – into the Heart of My Father. Intimacy strengthens identity! I believe that my journey of faith is no different from yours. There are probably a few different twists and turns, and I may have walked down a few paths that you haven’t (and vice-versa) BUT, ultimately our journeys would have intersected at the same crossroad to discovering the Father’s Heart.
