The moody I Am Earthbound is awash with richly effected layers of guitar and bass, while the dub-techno inspired Habitat is enlivened by melodica. The title track's shuffling dub groove perfectly leads in to the closing Solutions of Synthesis, a deep exploration of the origins of life.As in photography, the Aperture EP is many-structured, filtering light and sound, and focussing to a point of many colours, moods and emotions.
