For Every WomanI’ve always been quick to say “every woman has a story,” and because of my own personal experience of being a victim of domestic violence, I was compelled to create the fictitious characters and scenarios that are portrayed in the storyline of Purple Tears. I hope that it’s an eye-opener for those who read it, not only those who may be or may have been victims but for those who stand on the outside passing judgment with insulting comments like “why don’t’ they just leave.” It is very important for people to educate themselves so they’ll have a better understanding of the emotional and psychological effects of living with domestic violence. The best thing you can do is be supportive and assure them that they are not alone.
