The Toledo Racial Equity and Inclusion Council (TREIC) was formed to facilitate the development of a community strategy to address the root causes of poverty, dismantle systemic barriers caused by structural racism, and build wealth within communities of color. The council is committed long-term to addressing policies and practices that perpetuate racial inequities within systems and institutions impacting Greater Toledo. We aim to deliver solutions that address the wealth gap and reverse the deep racial disparities for people of color.
