The cloud song9. 10 of HeartsTogether with the performers, the musicians-composers Paul Lemp (bass, electronics), Stefan Rusconi (piano, electronics, trumpet) and Marc Lohr (drums, percussion, electronics) were drawn into a creative process that was based upon the breaking of boundaries. Rather than simply guiding the movement, the trio searched for ways in which to influence or strengthen the physical images. Inspiration was taken from a variety of genres and further refined through the search for a new unity. During the performance, the music – which ranges from swirling jazz to in-your-face punk and melancholic soundscapes – randomly rebounds through a space that veers from desolate basement to oppressive nightclub; until nothing but a beating heart remains.
