Victor GashnikovVictor Gashnikov is composer/pianist from Moscow, Russia. After playing in several bands Victor Gashnikov went solo in 2010.His debut Piano Thing (EP) is due for release April 21, 2012. EP consist of 5 minimalistic piano instrumental songs that had been written in between 2004 and 2011. Sometimes it took me several years to understand the meaning of the pieces. Writing music is the way to express my emotions and feelings, some of them I didn’t even notice. For this album I took different approach. Before composing any music, I took my notebook and wrote the things I wanted to express in the music.All seven pieces in the album tell the one story. I believe that the best way is to listen to it from start to finish, from the first piece to the seventh. I intentionally will not share what the album is about and let you, the listener, to find something you can relate to in the music.Happy listening!
