Western Open Fiddle Championships

When we reflect upon the 35 years of the Western Open Fiddle Championships, it is the people who have made it so special. Many of the members of the Western Open Committee have been on board for every contest. We've watched some of our "fiddle kids" on their journeys as they competed all the way from the Peewee through the Open Division. Many of those "kids" are now fiddle teachers, and it is with great joy that we watch the children follow in their parents' footsteps on the Western Open stage. There will be people in the audience this year who have attended every contest, as well as those who are here for the very first time. Every year there are new contestants and new audience members, all of whom we welcome to our "Fiddle Family." We say to all, "Welcome!" and we look forward to sharing the magic of old time fiddle music with you.
